July 7 Bombings

THE EDGWARE ROAD

I had hoped that my book would have been out in Spring 2005 but my publisher was being critical and maybe God wanted me to feel some heat beforehand.

My home is close to the Edgware Road in North West London, an area with wonderful ethnic variety. Our local Underground station was one the targets in the July 7, 2005 Al-Quaeda-inspired raids in our city, but I am glad to say that we were all kept safe.

The spookiest part is that a couple of years back I had been on a local bus when a sudden "BANG" brought a moment of horror when everyone feared the worst; in the end, it was only something falling, but I had been sufficiently moved to make it a key part of the start of my book and the text specifically mentioned the Edgware Road.

I then had a problem of whether to include this reference, and decided it was too late to include a "prophecy"; instead found a contribution from a railway chaplain who was called into duty on that day.
